I bet you are very excited to be gifting that special someone in your life a brand new hula hoop. We just have one very important thing that you MUST do in order for them to be really really happy with their present.
Your hoop is wound up smaller than it's normal self so that it can be shipped at an affordable rate. What this means is that your hoop needs time to unwind before it can be used.
Unpacking the hoop you are going to gift will do two things.
Let me touch on each one of those points.
The first one has to do with the fact that your hoop needs a minimum of 12 hours to naturally unwind after it has been tightly coiled into a smaller box. If you do the unpacking before you gift it, it will already have had time to unwind and will be ready to form into a perfect circle. You can read more about this on our How to Unpack Your Hoop blog post.
The second has to do with the first, if you leave your hoop coiled up for several days or worse yet, weeks, there is a good chance that it will never be a perfect circle, and that sucks for everyone.
So please, unpack your hoop according to our instructions and give the gift of perfect ready to use circles!

So your new polypro has come in the mail! Hooray! You unbox it and even let it sit unconnected for a while. But when you go to connect it...it is NOT a circle. And that's okay. I'm going to teach you a few things you can do to make your hoop cooperate and become the perfect circle it was always meant to be.
